A Telegraph this evening from Caledon. It was delivered to me by one of the various parentless urchins who roam the streets of Babbage, and I paid him well. Even so, I believe this only a prank, a poor jest played upon me by some advocate of the late Mr. Lucius Sin, the beast who slew Miss Paine. Yes, I am not sober again, or still, and my words stray. Here is the message:

ALL IS NOT LOST PERIOD MAY YET RETRIEVE ARTEM PAINE BUT YOU MUST NOT INTERFERE WITH MY METHODS PERIOD I KNOW YOU HAVE FAILED PERIOD BY MY DEEDS WORDS YOU MAY JUDGE SOON

A Life Resumed
- Dr. Nareth E. Nishi
- Born in the year 1864 and raised in Providence, Rhode Island, I now find myself an exile in space and time, and trying to make a life for myself in the city of New Babbage. At the age of twenty-three, a victim of a time-travel accident, I am striving to keep myself occupied with my first love, paleontology.
